In my humble opinion, mouse and keyboard drivers can not be considered real LFS drivers ? Or racers, for that matter.
I try to imagine them sitting in a car with a mousepad and driving the car using mouse.

Exactly what I did. Pass the wide checkered line and stop the car when front half is passed front part of checkered line. Wait as long as you like, and then slowly progress and make the car pass complete - suddenly your registered as finished, not before.
It's like the 'thingy' that transmit the data from the car, is possitioned at the backend ?

I noticed that it seems like the 'transponder' is positioned at BACK of the cars. Often I've experienced I thought I'd finished, but had not because the whole car had not passed the line.
I can even park my car with front part over the Finish line - and not be registered as finished race ???
Not that it matters in this case, tho' !

Short ? gee - my first thought when the chase stopped and Continue... appeared, was: "What ? Now, that was short"
It even contained a 'resume' - so I have no problem with aprox 50% longer ( minus Resume ).

I don't think that it is a just strange feeling, but it is a bug.

I didn't tamber with any settings, and the 'strangeness' I experienced was like the asphalt seemed alive-ish, like filled with bugs ( ants, not software bug ) - like millions crawling. Anyway to get rid of that ?

Astra's not very informative, but I think it's allright to warn you that another version is beeing prepared and this contains selfmade background music and altered text. Lyrics is so good in my opinion that it's likely to be a candidate for a LFS song.
If anyone out there can deliver drumtrack, the better the chance for doing a decent job. When I listen to the test-recording I delivered to Astra, it's clear to me we need those drums from Chorus and on.

Did my bit and tried to do a background music-like track to the song for MP3 to lay voice on.
When done recording, I realized drums are a MUST. Need help here. I know for a fact Gunn ( harp-player on 'My Father...' ) can create a software drumtrack, 'cause he delivered one I use elsewhere, but Gunn is busy ( he's got a life ? ). I hope someone out there can help us ?

Race-ism ?

I have a problem with that immediately Shift+S / P when flipped.
I real races one doesn't see a car immidiately Tele-Port back to pit to avoid beeing in danger for other cars, but then again, maybe 'we' don't wanna simulate a 'real' race ?

Admin holded the start and guided me thru step by step and suddenly within few minutes I appeared in right channel on Ventrillo, but my mike did strangely not work, but that did not matter, it turned out. I just affirmed by sending a smiley.
Nice when ppl do care and take their time to get things in order.

Actually, I had no buiseness being there at all. I read the forum about race too late, and just joined to see if I could sneak into a 'look-see' ?
I joined and kept silent watching and race had started 30 min earlier.
I couldn't help crack a smile once in a while.
When something aparrently happened to Karolis ( he parked car on bridge ) I got the idea to 'take over' his car, as he clearly didn't use it.
After 10 - 15 min. I handed it back and stayed for the rest of the race and had a really good time ( entertaining ) watching and chatting ( Sorry for that, but I could not resist as evrything seemed to go amiss, so who cared ? )
I'll give THUMBS UP to organizer, and say : Keep trying, you did at least give it a go, and I'll gladly join your races even if they turn out like this, it was a new experience and a fun time.
Did we have fun ? I never one moment got annoyed and even played 'Admin' trying to stop the namecalling.

I usely never comment on ppl's singing as I have trouble enough with my own, but this is one time where I don't mind saying it's ok. You can sing, and don't mind to and certainly not afraid to. Good work on the lyrics, too - but the power of the text doesn't really go along with the 'power' of the tune ?
